FCF
Constructs New Stage at Ranger Trails Camp
|

The frame work nears completion. The floor will be done at a
later date after electrical and sound wiring is installed.

Phase I and II took on a different scheme
this year. The FCF, lead by president, David "P.B. Bull"
Giddens, joined together to construct a massive 60x30 foot stage
for the amphitheater at Ranger Trails Camp.
The project originated at the annual FCF business meeting
held during the 2001 PowWow. David brought the idea before the
chapter membership and it passed unanimously. David also decided
that the construction would take place during phase I testing
and utilize the candidates. On September 7-8 the work began.
The more than 25 FCFers joined together on Saturday morning with
the threat of rain in the air. Undaunted by this thread, the
first post were set in the ground. The rain held off until the
job was complete. The only part left to do is the flooring. This
phase of the project will be done after the wiring is run from
the control booth to the stage and fixtures are installed.
The stage will no doubt be the site for many great council
fire services in the future. The large area will be suitable
for several sets as well as provide room for the alter services.
We hope to have the decking and wiring complete before next year's
PowWow. Plans are also in the works to add seating, lighting,
and other features.
There will be more work days to complete the work on not only
the stage but the seating, wiring, lighting, and landscaping,
just to mention a few. Talk to your Sectional Commander or any
of the District Staff about how you can be a part of this and
any of the ongoing projects our Ranger Trails Camp.
