King Crowned King of 2nd Annual Dist. Pinewood Derby

 The District Pinewood Derby was held recently at Ranger Trails Camp. Only about 65 cars competed in this year's race and it was a fun time for everyone. Tyler King from outpost 124, River of Life A/G in Jackson, came away with the First Place Overall Trophy. Shane Hyde of Outpost 4, 1st A/G in Columbus, took the Best of Show. The race was moved to the fall due to the number of activities scheduled in the first of the year.
Everyone enjoyed Jack's Shack snack bar with hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy and all sorts of goodies. The pool was also opened to provide some activity while the boys were not racing. Trophies were given to the overall winners as well as the 1st and 2nd place winners in each age group. The following were the trophy winners:
