The Mississippi District Royal Rangers and the Ranger Trails Camp Committee officially name the lodge of Ranger Trails Camp after Dr. Roger Ratliff at a ceremony held in his honor. The ceremony was held on June 8, 2002 during the annual District PowWow. Dr. Ratliff was honored because of his years of dedicated service and his financial contributions to Royal Rangers and the camp. The lodge is the centerpiece of RTC and the site of many conferences, meetings, socials, and other activities. It also has a dinning hall and serves as the headquarters for district Royal Rangers.

Dr. Ratliff practices internal medicine at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, MS. He is the Senior Commander at outpost 82, First Assembly of God in Amory. He has touched the lives of many boys over the years by maintaining a strong program at his church. Dr. Ratliff has served as the Sectional Commander for section 4 for years.

"This is just a small token of our appreciation to Dr. Ratliff," says District Commander, Wesley Harmon. "He has done so much for rangers here in Mississippi, not the least of which was making it possible for us to purchase the campground. He is one of the most generous men I know."

Glenn Hodges serves Dr. Ratliff the first piece of cake at the reception.
District Men's Director and Sectretary Treasure, Rev. P.T. Palmer, was on-hand for the presentation. He expressed his deep appreciation to Dr. Ratliff too. Other members of the district staff and campground committee were present.
