The history of the Mississippi District Royal Ranger's Ranger Trails Camp is just beginning, but our prayer is that the text below will chronicle years of exciting ministry to boys and leaders of all ages. From inception to reality, God has worked the miracle that has turned an abandoned YWCA camp into a thieving facility being used for the Glory of God. Join me now as we relive the experiences of the Ranger Trails Camp and rejoice that God answers prayer!
1994 The Vision Begins . . .
In 1994, District Men's Director, Rev. P.T. Palmer, assemble the District Royal Ranger staff under the direction of District Commander, Barrett Hannah, to discuss the possibilities of searching for property for a Royal Rangers campground. The meeting was exciting. The staff enthusiastically discussed the desired features of property they would be looking for such as a central location, between 100 and 200 acres, easy access, forestry and much more. After the meeting, Brother Palmer drafted a resolution that would be presented to the Mississippi District Council in May of 1994.
  The Resolution
The following resolution was presented at the 1994 Mississippi District Council. It passed unanimously!

  The Search Begins
Brother Palmer, the district Royal Rangers staff and Royal Ranger leaders all over the state begin to search for property for the Royal Rangers camp. In the mean time, Birney Stringer, then Production Coordinator, offered his families' property in Jasper county to lease and use until we purchased property. This was indeed a blessing to the district and a great learning ground for the future purchase. Many leads were checked out. Bobby Bush, Sectional Commander, spotted several pieces of property in an around Jasper and Clarke Counties and made inquiries.
