2006 Mississippi District Junior Leadership Training Academy
Merit Camp, Junior Training Camp (JTC), Advanced Junior Training Camp (AJTC) and Junior Survival Camp (JSC)
This years' Junior Training Camps will be held in April instead of the week of PowWow. There are several reason for the move. We realized it was a financial struggle for some to go to both the junior camps and PowWow at the same time. It also required them to be away from home for an extended period. It will not be as hot and the insects will not be as previlant (hopefully).
 Now is the time to get your boys interested and excited about the 2006 Junior Training Academy. Deadline for registation is March 4th. Your boys will have a great time of learning, advancement, fun and fellowship with other boys from across the state. They will build friendships that we last for many years. When they return to your outpost, they will be an inspiration to the other boys.

Merit Camp is offered to help boys who are motivated in the advancement trail. This camp will help them get several merits under their belt that should help to encourage them to reach the ultimate goal: The Gold Medal of Achievement.

JTC (Junior Training Camp) is offered at the District level and provides an opportunity for boys to learn and practice foundational leadership skills.

Advanced JTC (Junior Training Camp) is offered at the District level for the purpose of solidifying leadership traits learned in JTC.

JSC (Junior Survival Camp) will focus on survival skills and safety. This camp will be a high action oriented camp. JSC builds on what the boys learned in the AJTC and JTT. They will have classes on snares, eatable plants, fire building, and spiritual survival emphasis just to name a few.
