District Merit Camp

When/Where:
Friday, April 7 -- Sunday, April 9, 2006 Ranger Trails Camp -- Terry, MS
Who May Attend:
The Mississippi District Merit Camp is open to Discovery & Adventure Ranger boys (completed 3rd grade) and who are motivated in the advancement program. All boys attending the camp MUST have a complete Class B Royal Rangers Uniform and submit their application before the deadline. The camp will not only challenge the boys in the advancement trail but also spiritually, physically and socially.

Merits to be Offered:
Each boy can pick from a list of 8 merits (shown at right) that he would like to pursue. The boys will not have to attend classes of merits they already have but will be given alternative activity. The boys will receive a notebook with the Merit requirements. They should turn this over to their commander upon completion of the camp so the he can purchase the merits.
Arrival Time:
All campers should arrive at Ranger Trails Camp between 11:00 and 12:00 Noon on Friday. Orientation will be at 1:00 and classes begin immediately following. Each boy will be put into a patrol and assigned to a cabin.
Cost:
The total cost of the camp is $90.00. A $50.00 pre-registration fee must accompany the application with the balance due upon arrival. The fee covers T-shirt, room & board, meals and supplies. The boys will stay in the dorms during the camp.
Deadline:
All applications must be postmarked by March 4, 2006 - No Exceptions. This will allow us time to purchase the supplies and T-shirt needed for camp.
Mail the Application/Medical Form, Hold Harmless Agreement and $50.00 pre-registration fee to the District Training Coord.:
